Srigandha Kannada Koota invites you, your family and friends to its Sixth Kannada Sammelanna.

As many of you know the World Millennium Kannada Conference - 2000 will be held in Houston, Texas from September 1-3, 2000.
We are pleased to let you know that some of the Karnataka artists who are participating in the Millennium conference
will be performing at our Sixth Kannada Sammelanna.
 

Special rates for accommodations are negotiated.
Authentic Karnataka Cuisine Specially prepared by Karnataka Chefs, Items include Kharabath,
Bisibele bath, Puliogare, Idli, Vada, Sambhar, Mysore Pak etc etc.

  Yakshagana - Part I 7:00 pm to 7:30 pm
  Yakshagana is a traditional Dance Drama of coastal Karnataka performing dances from mythological scenes.
  This program will be a two-part.

  Kavya Chitra 7:30 pm to 8:30 pm
  Kavya Chitra – You haven’t seen anything like this before. Poetry and painting right before your eyes..
  Spontaneous creation of poems in Kannada on the spot
  and illustrative painting, a sort of Jugalbandi in arts.
  Dr. Shataavadhani Ganesh (poet) and B.K.S. Varma (Art Painter).
 
  Yakshagana - Part II 8:30 pm to 9:00 pm
 
  Dinner 9:00 pm to 10:00 pm
 
  DJ and Dance 10:00 pm onwards

and perform in the Sammelanna's cultural programs.
